Terms of Service

Mindteaser is a set of puzzle games operated by OutcomeOps LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. These terms are a contract between you and OutcomeOps LLC. If you use the site, they apply to you.

Mindteaser is entertainment. It is not a health or medical product. We make no claim that playing it improves, preserves or restores memory, attention or any other aspect of cognition, and no claim that it prevents, treats or slows any condition. Anyone telling you a puzzle game does those things is selling something.

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You also need not to be barred from using the service under applicable sanctions law, and not to have been previously banned by us.

The point of Mindteaser is that you fill a game with your own content and send someone a link. A few consequences follow from that:

• A shared link is not a secret. Anyone who has the link can open the puzzle. Do not put anything into a puzzle that you would mind a stranger reading.
• You are responsible for what you put in. You need the right to use the words, clues and material you add, and it must not break the rules below.
• We may remove a puzzle that breaks these terms or the law. We are not obliged to review puzzles before they are shared, and we mostly will not.

Do not use Mindteaser to:

• Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or publish private information about a real person without their consent
• Post sexually explicit content, or any content involving minors
• Infringe somebody else’s copyright or trademarks
• Break the law, or help anyone else break it
• Distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to other people’s puzzles
• Scrape the site, create accounts automatically, or interfere with the infrastructure
• Resell or redistribute the service as your own

Security researchers are welcome. Email support@mindteaser.io with “security” in the subject rather than testing in ways that degrade the service for other people.

Enforcement is proportional. One tasteless clue gets deleted. A pattern of harassment gets you removed.

You keep ownership of the content you put into a puzzle. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute it for the sole purpose of running the service, and that licence ends when you delete the content.

We do not sell your content, use it to train models, or repurpose it for anything other than showing your puzzle to the people you sent it to.

The games, the site, the code and the Mindteaser name belong to OutcomeOps LLC. You may play the games and share puzzles you make. You may not copy the service and run your own.

Mindteaser is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that a puzzle will behave exactly as you expected. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The service is free today, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

To the extent the law allows, OutcomeOps LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost bragging rights.

Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

You agree to defend and indemnify OutcomeOps LLC and its officers, directors, employees and agents against third-party claims arising out of the content you create, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

You can stop using Mindteaser whenever you like. We may suspend or remove access for a breach of these terms. Since there is nothing to pay for, there is nothing to refund.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these terms. When a change is material we will update the date at the top of the page, and once accounts exist we will email active accounts at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Mindteaser after that means you accept the new terms.
